Our Class Production
Well! This is my first post, so if it’s really bad, please forgive me.
Our Class produciton is coming up in less than amonth, and we’ve only just started rehearsing, and the script isn’t even completly finished! For proffesional acotrs…No sweat! But when you only have 2 double periods of Drama a week, it gets a bit fustrating.
Well, Our Class production this year is based on the Iraq war. We have Girlfriend and Boyfriend, Andy and Rachel. Andy decides to go to war, because it’s on his list he’s written of ‘50 things to do before i die’. Rachel doesn’t agree and there is a great scene with a yelling match.
Andy goes to war, and basically the whole plot of our Drama play is that Andy realizes he’s wrong, that the war is not a good thing but a bad thing, and that he wasn’t helping bring peace, but rather killing more people. In the end, *Spolier* Andy Dies, and the play ends with Kevin Rudd as our new Prime Minister Saying ‘Our Trrops are coming Home!’ I really like our play, which i will modestly say, we have written ourselves. Unfortuantly, i was away when the parts were casted, so i don’t know who i am yet, but i am led to belive i am playing one of Andy’s Mates… Yes that is a boy, and Yes, i am a girl. Actually, im quite excited about the prospect of playing a boy. It’ll certainly be different! Of course, i really did want the role of Rachel, But so did everyone, so not getting it wasn’t a major blow.
Well, this is starting to turn into an essay, so I’d better wrap it up or no-one will want to read it it
